*Windermere tournament Sunday 29th March 2026*

Keswick Mini’s shine at a very wet ‘Windy’mere.

Wow wow wow! What can I say?! That weather was borderline biblical, truly awful! Those little players though, were at the other end of the scale! They ran their socks off and not one of them complained about the conditions (not to me anyway!).

Keswick U10s Yellows did brilliantly well, playing as a team. From Dylan and Pip in defense to Erin and Robyn in attack. Special mention to Emily B, she was absolutely everywhere on that pitch from the first whistle to the last and kept herself calm and composed when in possession. Super star ?

Keswick U10s Blues were looked after by Noah (in his shorts ??‍♂️). Thank you again Noah!
Keswick Blues were awesome today. Will, Austin and Thomas were strong in their defensive midfield roles, feeding the ball through to Rhys and Finn to ensure we scored some great team goals. Special mention to double trouble Emily H and Lily in defense. Holding the line high and ensuring the opposition hardly got through. ?
Well done Rhys, Finn, Will, Austin, Thomas, Emily H, Lily, Emily B, Dylan, Robyn, Erin and Pip.

Keswick U12s, long story short, were brilliant.
They held their positions and listened incredibly well, to the coaches and each other.
There were passages of play where they controlled the ball with real intent, even passing backwards, to teammates, to maintain possession. A joy to see.
Well done Dylan, Charlotte, Zac, Rhys, Finn, Erin, Holly, Blair and Leo.

I joked this morning that there could be some ‘character building’ because of the rain today and there really was. I was impressed with how they all kept going, right to the very end. ?

Thank you to Windermere (hosts), Ulverston and Lancaster for the competitive matches and positive vibes.

Thank you to you grown ups for driving them down and standing in that weather. ☔️

That’s the last of the tournaments for this season.

But, we will return after the Easter holidays for one more term of training. Enjoy the well deserved break.

Finally a big thank you to The Toy Shop, Main Street, Cockermouth for all their support this season.

Shaun
