Very busy. Loads of players. Lots of hockey.
Hats off to everyone today, players and the grown-ups. That wind was awful!
Keswick U10s Red did brilliantly well and boasted another 3 fantastic debut appearances for Erin, Charlotte H and Emily B.
Sturdy tackling and long defensive clearances from the back line of Charlotte H, Emily B and Emily H quickly turned defence into attack. Ella, Erin and Robyn ran all morning in midfield/ attack to ensure we scored some great team goals.
Well done to Charlotte H, Emily B, Emily H, Erin, Ella and Robyn. Girl power! ✌️?
Coach Natalie was thrilled with our other U10s team today- Keswick U10s Blue had fantastic day with some outstanding performances, including several attacking drives and goals from Finn and some impressive work in the centre from Rhys.
We have built on our defensive work, managing to keep a clean sheet again, even against strong teams like Carlisle 1 and Penrith 1 who put us under a lot of pressure. Thomas made some fantastic tackles and showed great focus and determination when fighting for the ball.
Everyone took their turn in defence with Austin, Will, Thea and Daisy all contributing to some great phases of play, linking passes and runs effectively. All players developed their leadership skills by leading the three cheers at the end of the games.
Well done to Thea, Austin, Daisy, Will, Rhys, Finn and Will ?
Keswick U12s are going from strength to strength. They have a good understanding of each other’s positions and beginning to communicate well between themselves on the pitch.
Imogen, Erin and Sam were reliable in defence which allowed Leo, Charlotte M, Zac and Holly to play with freedom through the midfield. Kane played an important part holding the ball high up the pitch while the rest of the team caught up to pass through and score some goals.
Well done to Leo, Zac, Charlotte M, Holly, Erin, Sam, Imogen and Kane. ?
Thank you to you grown ups for bringing them along and words of encouragement from the sidelines.
Thank you to everyone who brought baked goodies and sweet treats for the ever popular snack shack.
Your donations are greatly appreciated and have helped raise vital funds for the Mini’s and Junior sections. ??
Thanks also to THE TOY SHOP for supporting both the Mini & Junior sections this season.
Thank you to Carlisle, Penrith and Wigton for venturing through on a cold Sunday morning.
15 teams across the board, well over 100 children playing the sport we love.
That’s what it’s all about! ???
