Keswick 2 vs Fylde 2

Keswick men’s 2s continued their unbeaten start to the season on Saturday with a 2-2 draw vs Fylde men’s 1s.
Fylde, like Keswick, won their first game of the season 5-0, so a hotly anticipated game was expected.
Fylde started the game strongly, but the Keswick defence managed to keep them at bay, with man of the match defender Ed Hunter breaking up many Fylde attacks.
Despite the constant pressure from the opposition Keswick went 1-0 up early in the second half with a goal of the season contender midfielder Matty Burridge. After some good work down the right wing, Ryan McCully crossed a brilliant ball for Burridge to deflect it into the top right hand corner of the net.
Despite Keswick battling hard to keep their lead, Fylde struck an equaliser, and they were soon 2-1 up after taking the lead out of nowhere from a well struck goal with 10 minutes remaining.
Keswick kept working hard and upped their game, when the hard work soon paid off when McCully squared the ball from the left wing for striker Jack Law to stroke home to get his third goal of the season.

Final score 2-2.
