Keswick 5 vs West Derby 0

Keswick men’s 2s started off their league campaign in phenomenal style, putting 5 goals past West Derby.
Keswick started the game strongly, and went 1-0 up when striker Jack Law collected the in the opposition D, rounded the goalkeeper and finished with a reverse strike.
After some pressure from West Derby, and some great saves from goalkeeper Peter Tolmie,
Keswick then doubled their lead through midfielder Paul Sloan. Sloan won the ball in midfield, offloaded to midfield partner Matty Burridge, who returned the pass back to Sloan on the edge of the D, who finished, striking the ball into the bottom corner of the goal.
Going into the second half 2-0 up Keswick were looking strong, with wingers Salvesen, Goodwin and Owen causing the West Derby fullbacks numerous problems.
Keswick scored their third goal of the game again through Law, who finished neatly after some good work from Burridge.
Keswick then got a quick-fire double through winger Charlie Goodwin. His first goal coming after Sloan took the ball past two West Derby defender and squared the ball for Goodwin to finish.
Goodwin then got his second from a well worked Keswick short corner, where Matty Burridge assisted for Goodwin to put Keswick 5-0 up and take all 3 points back home.
