Due to last week’s game away to Lytham St Annes being postponed, Keswick were keen to make it two wins in two games.
Keswick warmly welcomed Dave Harris back in goals, and Gary Looker also made his debut for the club.
After a sluggish start Keswick found themselves one goal down midway through the first half. They finally equalised just before half time when Chris Bicknell offloaded the ball to Gary Looker, who crossed for Jack Law to finish from close range and get his second goal of the season.
In the second half Keswick played much better but were unable to convert after several goalmouth scrambles, with both Ben Farnworth and Law going close to finding the back of the net.
Defenders Gavin Moore and man of the match Will Anderson kept Cheetham at bay, making some excellent tackles.
Keswick were very unlucky in the attack with both Dan Owen and Ben Harrison making some good runs, causing the opposition problems throughout.
Cheetham then took the lead after an unstoppable reverse stick shot.
Keswick kept pushing to find an equaliser, but were unable to succeed to do so.
After a bad day at the office Keswick will be hoping to get back to winning ways and give a better performance on Saturday when they travel away to Ormskirk Men’s 1s.
